A variety of beers are available to accompany the events, and dinner is served until 10pm. Bones is a fun, casual place that is frequented by students, locals and visitors. They are also open for breakfast and lunch.

This is one of the 10 best bars in the country according to USA Today. With over 30 draft beers, 150 bottled beers and more than 40 wines from around the world, this place rocks with adult beverages. The atmosphere is cozy, woody, pubby and most of all ­ friendly. It is a favorite of locals, students and visitors. The food is eclectic and excellent. So settle in with one of the real ales and some fish and chips or crab cakes and enjoy yourself. They are open 365 days a year.

This is a stopover for many professional blues and jazz players ­ there have been 15 Grammy Award winners here since the place opened in 1995. There are informal jazz sessions, and new artists can also showcase their talents during the week. There is bIg-screen TV on Sunday and Monday nights, and the interactive trivia game draws a big crowd. This is a family place with great food, too. Their bourbon-marinated steaks and pierogies are local favorites.

COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG. Though it no longer serves food, this cozy tavern harkens back to the Colonial days by offering a full slate of nightly gambols. What's a gambol? Gambols are fun, bawdy games and songs that were popular in 18th century taverns and pubs. Patrons are encouraged to participate ­ so order up a house ale and enjoy the scene. As for the atmosphere, the old pine floors, rustic walls and primitive furnishings will leave you wondering: Will Josiah himself make an appearance tonight? The gambols usually start around 9pm.

COLLEGE OF WILLIAM AND MARY. Italian and Greek cuisine rule here ­ pizza, subs, sandwiches, spaghetti and salads come out of the kitchen at a fast pace to keep the locals happy. The New England-style pizza is a favorite, as are the nine TVs for watching games. Located right across from the William &Mary stadium, students flock here at all hours.
